ऋग्वेद का संदेश – जब मनुष्य अपने भीतर के शत्रुओं को जीत लेता है

मंत्र

स नः शक्रश्चिदा शकद् दानवाकार अन्तरा भरः।
इन्द्रो विश्वाभिरूतिभिः।।

ऋग्वेद 8.32.12

मंत्र का भावार्थ

हे शक्तिशाली परमेश्वर! आप हमें उन दानवी प्रवृत्तियों और बाधाओं से पार कराइए जो हमारे मार्ग में अवरोध बनती हैं। अपनी समस्त रक्षक शक्तियों और कल्याणकारी सामर्थ्य से हमारी सहायता कीजिए।

मनुष्य का सबसे बड़ा युद्ध कहाँ होता है?

जब हम युद्ध की कल्पना करते हैं, तो तलवारों, सेनाओं और रणभूमि का चित्र सामने आता है।

किन्तु वेद कहता है कि सबसे बड़ा युद्ध बाहर नहीं, बल्कि मनुष्य के भीतर चल रहा है।

हर दिन हमारे भीतर दो शक्तियाँ संघर्ष करती हैं—

एक ओर सत्य, विवेक, करुणा और आत्मसंयम।
दूसरी ओर क्रोध, लोभ, मोह, ईर्ष्या और अहंकार।

यही वास्तविक देवासुर संग्राम है।

दानव कौन हैं?

वैदिक साहित्य में दानवों का केवल बाहरी अर्थ नहीं है।

दानव वे सभी विचार और प्रवृत्तियाँ हैं जो मनुष्य को उसके श्रेष्ठ स्वरूप से दूर ले जाएँ।

आज के युग के दानव हैं—

क्रोध जो संबंधों को नष्ट कर देता है।
लोभ जो संतोष छीन लेता है।
ईर्ष्या जो मन की शांति समाप्त कर देती है।
अहंकार जो ज्ञान के द्वार बंद कर देता है।
भय जो मनुष्य की क्षमता को जकड़ देता है।

ये दानव बाहर नहीं, हमारे भीतर निवास करते हैं।

"अन्तरा भरः" — हमें पार कराओ

मंत्र की सबसे सुंदर प्रार्थना है—

"अन्तरा भरः"

अर्थात् हमें इन बाधाओं से पार कराइए।

जीवन एक नदी के समान है।

इस नदी में अनेक भँवर आते हैं—

असफलता
निराशा
अपमान
संघर्ष
मोह

कभी-कभी मनुष्य स्वयं इनसे बाहर नहीं निकल पाता।

तब उसे एक उच्च शक्ति, उच्च आदर्श और उच्च ज्ञान का सहारा चाहिए।

इन्द्र का वास्तविक अर्थ

वेदों में इन्द्र केवल एक देवता का नाम नहीं है।

इन्द्र शक्ति, नेतृत्व, आत्मबल और विजय का प्रतीक है।

जब मनुष्य के भीतर—

विवेक जागता है,
साहस उत्पन्न होता है,
सत्य के लिए खड़े होने की शक्ति आती है,

तब उसका आंतरिक इन्द्र सक्रिय हो जाता है।

और वही उसे अंधकार से प्रकाश की ओर ले जाता है।

विश्वाभिरूतिभिः — सर्व प्रकार की सहायता

मंत्र कहता है—

"इन्द्रो विश्वाभिरूतिभिः"

अर्थात् परम शक्ति अपनी अनेक प्रकार की रक्षात्मक और प्रेरणादायक शक्तियों से हमारी सहायता करे।

यह सहायता अनेक रूपों में आती है—

किसी गुरु के उपदेश के रूप में,
किसी पुस्तक के ज्ञान के रूप में,
किसी मित्र की प्रेरणा के रूप में,
किसी कठिन अनुभव के रूप में,
या हमारे अंतःकरण की आवाज़ के रूप में।

कई बार जो संकट हमें दुःख लगता है, वही हमारे जीवन का सबसे बड़ा शिक्षक बन जाता है।

आधुनिक जीवन में इस मंत्र की प्रासंगिकता

आज मनुष्य तकनीकी रूप से बहुत शक्तिशाली हो गया है।

लेकिन—

तनाव बढ़ रहा है,
अवसाद बढ़ रहा है,
असंतोष बढ़ रहा है,
संबंध टूट रहे हैं।

इसका कारण बाहरी कमी नहीं, आंतरिक असंतुलन है।

ऋग्वेद का यह मंत्र हमें याद दिलाता है कि वास्तविक विकास केवल बाहरी उपलब्धियों से नहीं, बल्कि आंतरिक विजय से होता है।

इस मंत्र से मिलने वाली पाँच शिक्षाएँ

1. अपने भीतर के दानवों को पहचानो

सबसे पहले यह जानो कि तुम्हारा वास्तविक शत्रु कौन है।

2. आत्मबल विकसित करो

कमज़ोर मन आसानी से विकारों का शिकार बन जाता है।

3. ज्ञान को अपना मार्गदर्शक बनाओ

अज्ञान हर दानवी प्रवृत्ति की जड़ है।

4. ईश्वर से शक्ति माँगो

प्रार्थना मनुष्य को दुर्बल नहीं, बल्कि अधिक सजग और दृढ़ बनाती है।

5. निरंतर संघर्ष करते रहो

आत्मिक विजय एक दिन में प्राप्त नहीं होती।

निष्कर्ष

ऋग्वेद का यह मंत्र केवल बाहरी शत्रुओं से रक्षा की प्रार्थना नहीं है, बल्कि मनुष्य के भीतर छिपे दानवों पर विजय का घोष है।

जब आत्मबलरूपी इन्द्र जागता है, तब क्रोध शांत होता है, लोभ समाप्त होता है, भय मिटता है और जीवन में प्रकाश फैलने लगता है।

"जो मनुष्य स्वयं पर विजय प्राप्त कर लेता है, उसके लिए संसार का कोई भी युद्ध कठिन नहीं रह जाता।"

अपने भीतर के इन्द्र को जगाइए, दानवी प्रवृत्तियों को पहचानिए और आत्मविजय की ओर बढ़िए।

शक्ति अन्दर से ही मिलेगी

भर देंगे शक्ति तब खिलेगी

शक्र बिना संसार में

ना कोई शक्ति देनेवाला

उसके बिना संसार में

ना कोई आन्तर भरनेवाला है

छल-छिद्र= कपट व छल पूर्वक व्यवहार

वे शक्र परमेश्वर हमें भी शक्ति संयुक्त करें। हम अशक्त पग- पग पर गिरने वाले हम असमर्थ, शक्ति-याचना के लिए और कहां जाएं? सिवाय उन सर्वशक्तिमान इन्द्र के शक्ति- प्राप्ति की आशा हम और कहां से लगावें? शक्र तो 'दानवान' हैं और 'अन्तराभर' हैं। उन परिपूर्ण परमेश्वर ने कभी किसी से कुछ नहीं लेना है, उन्होंने तो सदा सबको देना- ही- देना है। ऐसे दानवान् होकर वे हमारे अन्तरों को हमारे छल- छिद्रों को और कमियों को भरनेवाले हैं ,हमारे अन्तःस्तल को (उसके दोषों और त्रुटियों को)पूर्ण करने वाले हैं। वे अन्दर से भरने वाले हैं, अन्दर से हमारे आन्तर स्थल को भरपूर कर देने वाले हैं। वे इन्द्र यदि चाहे तो हमें अपनी ऊतियों से, सब रक्षाओं से, सब पलनाओं से, तृप्तियों से हमारी सब कमियॉं दूर कर सकते हैं और हमें अन्दर से भरकर सशक्त बना सकते हैं। हम उन्नति पथ पर चढ़ते हुए पग- पग पर अपनी अशक्ति अनुभव कर रहे हैं। इस तरह अपनी घोर अशक्ति ,भारी निर्बलता को अनुभव करते हुए ही हम आज शक्ति के भिखारी हुए हैं। जब से हमें ज्ञान मिला है कि हमें शक्ति अन्दर से ही मिलेगी तथा हमारे आन्तर को भर सकने वाले वे शक्र प्रभु ही हैं, तब से हम उन शक्र के द्वारा आ बैठे हैं। हम आज साक्षात् देख रहे हैं कि उन शक्र के सिवाय इस संसार में और कोई शक्ति देने वाला नहीं है, उनके सिवाय इस संसार में और कोई हमारे आन्तर को भरने वाला नहीं है। ओह! अब तो वे सर्वशक्तिमान शक्र ही हमें शक्ति से युक्त कर देवें, वे सर्वसमर्थ इन्द्र ही हमें सामर्थ्य प्रदान कर देवें।

May the Supreme Lord Shankar fill us with strength. We are weak and helpless, falling at every step, where else should we go to seek strength? Where else should we expect strength except from the Almighty Indra? Shankar is generous and full of the heart. The perfect God has never taken anything from anyone, he has always given to everyone. Being so generous, he is going to fill our inner self, our deceits, our holes and shortcomings, he is going to complete our inner self (its defects and flaws). He is going to fill us from within, he is going to fill our inner self from within. If Indra wants, he can remove all our shortcomings with his blessings, all our protections, all our sustenance, all our satisfactions and can make us strong by filling us from within. We are feeling our weakness at every step while climbing the path of progress. In this way, by experiencing our extreme powerlessness, great weakness, we have become beggars of power today. Ever since we have got the knowledge that we will get power from within and that only the Almighty God can fill our inner being, since then we have been surrounded by that Almighty. Today we are seeing clearly that apart from that Almighty God, there is no one else in this world who can give us power, apart from Him, there is no one else in this world who can fill our inner being. Oh! Now, only that Almighty God can fill us with power, only that Almighty Indra can give us strength.

क्रान्तदर्शी = वह, जिसकी दृष्टि समय और काल के पार देख सकती हो, सर्वज्ञ परमेश्वर

विभु = सर्वव्यापक परमात्मा

हव्य = आहुति

वह प्रभु कैसा है और हृदय में प्रकाशमान होता है

अग्नि में अग्नि प्रकाशमान होता है, जोकि कवि-क्रान्तदर्शी है, दूरदर्शी है सर्वज्ञ है। वह ब्रहमा स्वरुप ग्रह का स्वामी है। सदा युवा है, स्तुति रूप हव्यों को वहन करने वाला है। जो वाणी से ज्ञान मई स्तुति का मुख द्वारा कहने का मुख्य साधन है। स्तुति रूप हव्यों को वहन करने वाला है।

जब कहा अग्नि से अग्नि प्रकाशमान होता है। इसका अर्थ यह है की अग्नि के संपर्क में आने से अग्नि के जो ७ गुण हैं वह आत्मा में प्रवेश हो जाते हैं और आत्मा भी अग्निमय हो जाती है।

१) ऊर्ध्वगमन=निरन्तर सत्कर्म द्वारा ऊंचाइयों को छूना

२) प्रकाश=चिन्तन और मनन द्वारा आत्मा को प्रकाश से युक्त करना।

३) तेज=जिस प्रकार अग्नि में तेज होता है उसी प्रकार अपनी आत्मा को तेजस्वी बनाना।

४) आत्मसात=अग्नि के संपर्क में आकर अग्नि से आत्मसात हो जाना। परमात्मा अग्नि स्वरूप हैं, जब आत्मा परमात्मा के स्वरूप का चिन्तन और मनन करती है, तब आत्मा में भी परमात्मा के गुण अवतरित होते हैं

५) विस्तार=अग्नि में यह गुण है कि उसका विस्तार होता है, अपने अग्निमय

गुणों से, स्वयं प्रकाशित होकर, जन-जन को प्रकाशित करना। यह अग्नि का विस्तार है।

६) संघर्ष=अग्नि में संघर्ष का गुण है। संघर्ष या तप से ही अग्नि अपने परिणाम तक पहुंचती है। बादलों में भी संघर्ष होने से विद्युत पैदा होती है। उसी प्रकार अपने जीवन में सही संघर्ष करने से उत्तम परिणाम प्राप्त होता है।

७) परोपकार=अग्नि में जो कुछ आहूत होता है, वह आहुति कई गुना बढ़ाकर चारों ओर फैला देती है। इसी प्रकार आत्मा में अग्नि का स्वरूप आ जाने से आत्मा परोपकार के कार्यों में लग जाता है। और अपना और जन जन का भला करता है।

जिस प्रकार परमात्मा प्रकाशमान है। आत्मा को भी इन गुणों को प्राप्त कर, प्रकाशित होना चाहिए। आत्मा को सदा परमात्मा से हव्यरूप बनकर,आत्मसात होकर,उसके गुणों को ग्रहण करना चाहिए।

sire to attain the luminous Lord in the mind, that self-form of God awakens in the heart-house which becomes the luminous Lord. The soul gets its fuel in the form of fire, finds the divine form of the Lord, the light of that universe, gets illuminated by the fire, becomes luminous in every moment, is a poet to the luminous Lord, always remains young, is the ruler of the universe, he remains strong, always makes the devotees accept the offerings. Of Those who find the luminous God in their inner self.

Through the praise of the Vedas,

The devotee feels the light

Of the beloved God in his pure soul

Just as fire awakens from fire

In the same way,

The desire to find the luminous God

In the mind,

That God in his own form

Awakens in the heart

Who There is a desire in the mind to find the luminous Lord.

What kind of God is he and who shines in the heart

Fire shines in fire, who is a poet-revolutionary, far-sighted and omniscient. He is the owner of the planet in the form of Brahma. He is always young, who carries the offerings in the form of praise. Who is the main means of saying praise based on knowledge through speech. He carries the offerings in the form of praise.

When it is said that fire shines from fire. It means that by coming in contact with fire, the 7 qualities of fire enter the soul and the soul also becomes fiery.

1) Urdhwagaman = Touching the heights by continuous good deeds

2) Prakash = Filling the soul with light through contemplation and meditation.

3) Tej = Just as there is Tej in fire, similarly make your soul radiant.

4) Assimilation=Coming in contact with fire and getting assimilated by it. God is the form of fire, when the soul contemplates and meditates on the form of God, then the qualities of God are incarnated in the soul as well.

5) Expansion=Fire has this quality that it expands, by illuminating itself with its fiery qualities, illuminating everyone. This is the expansion of fire.

6) Struggle=Fire has the quality of struggle. Fire reaches its result only through struggle or penance. Electricity is produced due to struggle in the clouds as well. Similarly, by doing the right struggle in your life, you get good results.

7) Altruism=Whatever is offered in the fire, it increases that offering many times and spreads it all around. Similarly, when the soul acquires the form of fire, the soul gets involved in the works of charity. And does good to itself and to everyone.

Just as God is luminous, the soul should also attain these qualities and become illuminated. The soul should always become an offering to God, assimilate Him and imbibe His virtues.
